I know all the best spots for photos no matter the time of year - wildflower covered trailheads in July, yellow and gold aspens in the fall, lakes with evergreen trees no matter the time of year...and of course recommendations for where to stay and things to do during your visit!

...a Jeep road trip through the San Juans where you exchange vows with a waterfall backdrop; senior photos that feel straight out of a renaissance fairytale, trudging through a foot of snow to capture a sunrise proposal as the sunlight hits the peak of the mountain. My little theatre-kid heart could only DREAM of playing a role in that many stories.

Whether you're looking for majestic views without much hiking, or want to spend your elopement day together on an epic adventure, Crested Butte is your spot for an elopement.
Couples session
step one: Inquire
Start by filling out the inquiry form so I can learn a little about you and your session/elopement plans! If you're planning an elopement, we'll schedule a consultation call so we can make sure I'd be the best fit for your wedding day and chat through details and start the planning process! For sessions, I'll send you a few location options depending on the time of year. Once we nail down a date and location, we can get you two booked!
step two: Booking
When you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send over your contract and retainer invoice to officially secure your session/elopement date! For elopements, I require $500 retainer, with the remaining balance split into a payment plan. Couples sessions, I require 50% upfront, then the remaining 50% due the day of your session! I'm always willing to adjust any payment plans as needed!

step three: final details Call
About a month before your elopement, we’ll reconnect to walk through your timeline, logistics, and the moments that matter most to you. This helps everything flow effortlessly so you can be fully present on your day.
step four: session day + Delivery
On your elopement or session day, I’ll be there to thoughtfully document and guide moments as needed. Afterward, you’ll receive sneak peeks 2-4 days after your date. Full galleries are typically done 2 weeks after your couples session and 3-4 weeks after your elopement date.

Natalie and Floyd’s day is the perfect example of why this little mountain town is such a gem. They drove all the way from Tennessee to elope in Colorado, told almost no one, and turned their wedding day into the most peaceful, joy-filled adventure. And honestly, that’s exactly what a Crested Butte elopement should feel like!

Absolutely I will! I've got a list of favorites that I've been to I love recommending based on how much hiking (or none) you want to do to get to each spot. A few locations are accessed via a dirt road, so I'll let you know if a high clearance vehicle is recommended or not. Luckily most spots are within a 30 minute drive max of each other, so if you are having a hard time picking, we can always visit a few!
Crested Butte is gorgeous year-round in my opinion, but it can be harder to get to in the winter (it's about a 5 hour drive from Denver), so if you're coming from the front range, I would recommend June-mid October.
For wildflower season, aim for mid-July to early August
For fall leaves, aim for end of September to early October
I'm happy to give some custom options based on your party size and time of year, but I have had great experiences at both Elevation Hotel + Spa and Grand Lodge. There are other options as well, (even camp grounds, or I've rented a camper van and stayed at a trailhead before, too!)

First of all, I ALWAYS shoot on 2 cards at a time: that means as soon as I snap a photo, it’s on 2 different SD cards. After the wedding, I immediately back them up to my external hard-drive and save all the SD cards (your photos are in 3 spots within hours after I leave your wedding!) From there, any photos or videos I edit, I’ll upload to your gallery (sending sneak peeks first) so they get into your hands (or your computer) as safely and quickly as possible!
Most couples reach out about 8-12 months in advance, sometimes more if they know they’ve picked a popular wedding date. I typically won’t book weddings that are more than 14 months away. But don’t let that scare you if you are reaching out about a sooner date! If I’m available, a 2 months notice works for me, too!
It's so easy and all digital. First, you fill out my inquiry form, then we'll schedule a consult call (usually Google Meets) to make sure I'm a good fit for your wedding day and discuss the perfect fitting package. To officially get. your date booked I'll send over a contract and invoice to your email, then you're fully booked! (and can cross "wedding photo + video" off your list!)
